FAQ

Everything you might want to know

How does Good Circles work?

You shop local businesses through Good Circles, save about 10% automatically, and 10% of the merchant’s profit funds a nonprofit you chose at signup. The business keeps 89% of its profit. It’s free for shoppers and nonprofits.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. Joining is free for shoppers and nonprofits — no membership, subscription, or hidden fees. You actually save about 10% on local purchases. Local businesses pay only a 1% fee on profit.

How much goes to my nonprofit?

A share of every sale — 10% of the merchant’s profit. It’s a few dollars per purchase, but across a community it adds up to tens of thousands a year. About $72 per supporter per year, so 500 supporters is roughly $36,000.

How is Good Circles different from AmazonSmile?

AmazonSmile gave 0.5% from Amazon purchases and shut down in 2023. Good Circles is local-first: you save about 10%, the nonprofit you choose gets a share of every local sale, and local businesses keep 89% of their profit.

When and where does Good Circles launch?

Good Circles launches in September 2026 in the Jackson, Mississippi metro, then expands across Mississippi and to the cities that request it most. You can claim a founding spot now.

What can I buy on Good Circles?

Groceries, prepared food, retail, repair and the trades, professional services, appointments, and more. When no local merchant carries something, you’ll see a clearly labeled external option that doesn’t carry the 10% discount.

Is my data sold or shared?

No. Good Circles never sells your data or shares it outside the platform. Within the circle, relevant information is shared with the nonprofit you elect and the merchants you shop with — that’s how the community works.
